Fireworks over the lake

Ash loves her cousins!

This Fourth of July, Kathy and Ronnie invited us out to Horseshoe Bay where they had rented a fabulous condo. It was so generous of them to include us in their vacation and we had a blast! Miss A was thrilled to get to spend time with her cousins! I had not stayed at the resort since I was in college and it brought back many wonderful memories that I enjoyed sharing with Ash. The greatest part about this place is that you feel like you are at a beach and a lake in addition to the beautiful pools. The resort had tons of great activities for the kiddos - tattoos, snow cones, decorate your own flip flops, bubbles, ice cream, necklace making etc. Additionally another added bonus was that Horseshoe Bay was one of the few places having fireworks due to the horrible drought and fire precautions and their condo was the perfect balcony to watch the beautiful show over the water. Great food, adult beverages and lots of water- you know I was in heaven! It was neat for Ash to ask many questions about the meaning of the 4th of July this year! She is definitely growing up. Thank you again, Kathy and Ronnie for a great holiday!
