Since the start of her kinder year, Miss A is all about the Dripping Springs Tigers Football team. Her first obsession started on Meet the Teacher night when we learned that her teacher's son is the Mascot for the Football team. Now as usual she was scared to death of him because he was in a mask but that didn't mean she didn't stop talking about him. Then to add to the obsession, every Friday the cheerleaders and band throw a pep rally at her school for the upcoming game. She had begged and begged to go to a game. So it worked out that we took her to the Homecoming game. I grew up in a town that had 4 high schools and the cross town rivalry was fun but we didn't learn about it or get into until High school. In a small town - they start them early and the whole town gets in on the fun. This Homecoming game was so precious! I mean
tailgating, full smokers of food and nice tables to have dinner in the stadium, mums for all ages and true team Spirit. We had a great time and I really pray that we stay in this town and she gets to grow up enjoying this hometown pride. Dripping is growing so fast that I fear it will change before she graduates but it is nice while it lasts. My little Tiger in training!
