Awesome Aransas August

We kicked off August with a Family trip to Port A to celebrate my 35th birthday and well the end of Summer! As always, it was a wonderful mix of relaxing, swimming, eating and gabbing with the family.It was so great to have Ryan join us this year and he brought his friend Blair along for the fun. The trip always goes by too fast! Port A has grown so much since Chris and I used to go in College - I guess we have changed a bit as well over the past 15 years.

We found crabs and sand-dollars and lots of little creatures that were unidentifiable 

For me - who has been with Chris for 18 years and anyone that knows Chris - this was the most shocking experience of the whole trip. Chris laid still long enough to be buried in the sand by his daughter. It took a great deal of self-control for someone with extreme ADHD but this man will do ANYTHING for his princess!

Ryan was nice enough to poor Chris some beer in his compromised state.

We ended the Summer with the visit from Kelli and Ella! It was tons of girly fun!

August ended with us meeting our teacher - Mrs Barton  - are we really ready for 2nd grade? 

1st day of 2nd grade! 

Animal love - Bailey hated cats for the 1st 12 years of her life until we got Lizzy! They are extremely close! 

Chris ended the month by cooking me amazing breakfast in bed! Not a bad way to wrap up Summer!
