Visit to San Antonio to see Miss Brooke

One day this summer we drove over to San Antonio and visited my wonderful friend Brooke, her mother Sherry and sweet son Beck. They were staying at the Hyatt Wild Oaks Ranch. It was fabulous! We loved the Lazy River and pools. No pics of Mr. Beck as we arrived at naptime but by next year - I have a feeling he will be ready to participate in the fun! After visiting with Brooke we went down the Riverwalk and shopped and ate. Nice little mini-vacation only an hour from the house.

Best Neighbor's B-day Bash

Miss A's bestie neighbor Miss C turned 3 in June. Though Ash had a hard time sharing her with the rest of her guests, she had a wonderful time. Miss A was not brave enough to try the waterslide this year but Miss C loved it! The two girls are inseparable and we are lucky to have them for neighbors ~ reminds me of my own wonderful neighbors on 95th street!

We went to Dallas in June for Brooke's wedding shower. Ash is very excited to be a flower girl in August. I just hope she isn't too shy. Brooke is going to be such a beautiful bride! She and Nolan have been together almost as long as Chris and I! She was 8 went I met her and I cannot believe she is getting married. So proud of her Ph.D. in Physical Therapy too!

We enjoyed seeing all of the family and Ash can never get enough of her cousins. We really enjoyed staying with Ryan. He cooked out for us and I finally drug he and Ash out of the pool at 11pm. They could have swam together forever. I loved seeing my brother and Nikki and spending time with my Kidney Chick Brooke and her sweet boy Beck. Trips to Dallas are always packed with lots of great family and friends!

Fishing with Daddy

Showing off the fish food (corn)
Miss A and her daddy went on their 1st fishing adventure right after her birthday. She is so anxious to get to hunt and fish with her daddy and the new Princess fishing pole from him solidified her belief that she must be getting older. Our neighborhood lake was the perfect place to catch her 1st of 5 fish. She loved it and can't wait to fish with her aunt and uncles ~ the true experts!
