Mother's Day

Mimi must not have gotten the memo on funny faces - or is it that she might mess up her lipstick!

please note in the picture below and in her birthday invitation - Miss A wanted her little sister Emmylou pictured as well - so nice to include your doll since your mother will not provide you a sibling playmate

Being a mother has changed my entire world. Prior to having Miss A I was such a workaholic and driven by degrees in school but she has just made me appreciate each and every day so much more as opposed to being on a mission to succeed. Her daily good health and happy demeanor can brighten my day so much and I have learned so much from her. Motherhood has also made me appreciate my own mother and mother in law so much more. Not only do I now understand their unconditional love but I understand the difficulties of what they experienced as working moms as well. I am so very blessed to have two women in my life that enjoy each other's company and are never jealous of one another. They often communicate to one another first and then remember to tell Chris or I their plans later. I am lucky that their own troubled relationships with their mother in laws taught them to appreciate each other and me and I have definitely benefited! I am also so blessed to have two women who love my little girl as much as I do and make her the most important part of their lives. They are always willing to allow me to have my own adult time and help with her care without complaint - even if at last minutes notice.

Thank you to Mimi & Nana for being amazing examples of being wonderful mothers and thank you to Ash for being my fantastic daughter!
