7th Halloween ~ Supergirl!

Supergirl and her Superdog!
I cannot believe we have celebrated 7 Halloween's with our sweet girl! She picked her costume herself this year with zero help and I think she did a great job! It was another busy month of Halloween parties, festivals and activities - all very fun with wonderful friends and family.

Texas State Fair

In all my years of visiting Dallas, I had never been to the Texas State Fair. So at the start of October we loaded up and traveled to Dallas to stay with Tyler and Nikki and get our fair on! It did not disappoint!

I had heard stories of the crazy fried food and all the hoopla was true - there was literally nothing in the entire fairgrounds that was not fried - it was disgusting and yet yummy all at the same time. Tyler and I found plenty of gross food to try and I was shocked at how much Nikki enjoyed the fried goodness as well - Ash wouldn't try any of it.

Each adult took turns riding a ride with Ash except for Nikki who chose the Pig races instead as her feature station with Ash. We loved the petting zoo with exotic animals including a giraffe, zebra etc - (not sure what that has to do with the state of Texas but whatever)

We loved the HEB farm area where you pretend to start with seeds and sow your land and take your produce to the market and then you get money and get to buy stuff at a store

We loved the random music and dancers and well of course we loved the game area as Ryan went crazy buying the most gigantic stuffed monkey on the planet - Larry. Larry was so large he had trouble fitting in the car and now he lives at the end of the hall as he is too big for any other area

Overall, I love our family and I love fairs and this was a great mix!

Getting ready to ride the Mouse Trap - starting off a little scared but we had no idea how fast this roller coaster was about to go

Nikki's favorite ~the pig races!

poor Big Tex - he burned to the ground just days after we were there
