Everybody Cut Footloose!

One of my favorite activities in the summer in Austin is the Zilker Park Summer Play Series. It is free and fabulous! Last year we loved Annie and this year we loved Footloose! Every time I go to a play I wonder why I don't do it more often. Whether it be Broadway or children's theater - there is just something that draws you in and let's you lose yourself. I am always at awe with the talent - singing, dancing and acting - so much better than reality TV!

In July we had a fabulous girls night with Somer, Cortney, Dusty and our girls. Starting with dinner at Shady Grove and ending with Kate and Ash dancing the night away! It was fun and I look forward to seeing the Sound of Music next year!

Fun with Nikki and Tyler

In June, we couldn't wait to go to Dallas and celebrate Nikki and Tyler's engagement and to see the gorgeous ring!

During the weekend we had some great times - italian food, mexican food, and laughes! Uncles are always good for some extreme tickling! She literally begs for it but pretends to hate it and then runs back for more!

Ash grabbed the camera and took many shots of herself, Nikki and Max

This was a sloth at the Dallas Aquarium that we stood and watched for ages. It was amazing to see how slow he moved to try to get a leaf to eat - it literally felt like a slow motion movie or that he was severely drugged. Nikki proceeded to pick and leaf and try to help him as she felt sorry for him

Thanks for some great times guys! Looking forward to this year of engagement parties, showers, bachelorette fun and the grand finale of the wedding!!! So happy to have Nikki in our family!

Sometimes you just wanna JUMP and SING!

We love our new trampoline from G-Daddy! It is a great place to get exercise or to perform our Vacation Bible School songs! ROCK STAR!

Swimming, Swimming and More Swimming

Last summer was all about being on the lake. This summer was all about the Pool! If you know me - as long as there is water, I am happy! We loved having all of our friends and family over throughout the summer to swim, swim, swim! I am absolutely amazed that Ash can swim the entire pool with no assistance now. She can dive to the bottom and get rings, she can float on her back with no help, she is starting to learn the breaststroke and scissor side stroke. It is so much fun to teach and watch her absorb it and excel! We were in the pool daily and then again in the evenings to watch the deer feed and sun go down. We would not have made it in this Texas drought this summer without this pool! It was an unbearable summer due to the heat but I will always love summer for the lazy days of no schedules and relaxing atmosphere it brings!

Children's Day @ Symphony Park - Year 3

One of my favorite activities each summer is taking Miss A to Children's Day at Symphony Park. Such a great experience and it has been fun to watch her mature each year and get more into the clowns, instruments and concert. One of my favorite parts this year was sharing it with our youngest friend of one of my oldest best friends. Miss Charlee Kay experienced her first year and loved the music, activities and dancing with Ash. I loved that Somer was there to share the experience with us as a mommy now! It will be crazy to have her running around there next year!
