Cadence's Girly Birthday Party

Cadence was our 1st friend to turn 7 and her mom had a cute girly birthday party of painting nails and makeup and coloring - they loved it but spent most of the time acting like tomboys and running around outside in the mud! This is a fun group of girls that met in preschool and have stayed friends mostly because the mommas enjoy each other too! Happy Birthday Miss Cadence - 7 seems too big!

Dr Pound Historical Farmstead Fall Fest

In September we visited our local historical museum in Dripping for their Fall Fest. It turned out to be really cute with tons of Pioneer games and activities for kiddos. Shelby and Ash enjoyed learning about how people lived many years ago, making corn husks dolls, potato sack races, cast iron blackberry cobbler, wagon rides, farm animals, and many more activities. The girls did not want to leave.

Little Stepper!

Ash participated in a camp this Summer to teach her to be a little stepper - the younger version of a high school High Stepper. High Steppers dance at half time of the football game and Ash loved it! She loved getting to hang out with the high school girls and to listen to their music and to dance with her friend Shelby. The camp also included getting to perform at one high school football game! Once we arrived at the stadium, Ash was totally freaked out by the size of the crowd and did not want to perform. She had quite an audience even within her family. Her grandparents came as well as her Aunt Kathy and cousins Trinity & Caden. However once the performance was complete, the first words out of her mouth were "Mommy, Daddy, I can't wait to do that again. Can I please do that every week." She loved every minute of the attention and performing for huge crowds. Our little starlet.

Relaxing at the Longhorn Ranch

We celebrated Labor Day weekend with our cousins at the Longhorn Ranch outside Blanco. It was great to see them and our high school friend Sarah and relax at such a beautiful ranch with our families. Swimming, fishing, yummy food and wine, roasting marshmallows, and great laughs.
