We had a fabulous Easter weekend with family and friends. Tyler and Nikki came in late Friday night and joined us for a Belterra neighborhood Egg Hunt Saturday morning. A major event occurred at this event, Ash actually accepted candy and hugs from the Easter Bunny. Thank you Doug for the encouragement! His fur needed some enhancement and clean up and it made me believe that maybe the HOA fees need to be increased before next years hunt in order to up the bunny's salary. After the hunt we loaded up and went to the Dripping Springs Farmers Market as my goal is to ensure that Nikki received a full small town experience. It lived up to it's Austin Hippie name! From there we went to Driftwood to the Mandola Trattoria and Winery for Lunch and sampling! That evening we enjoyed another large dinner of Mexican food and soccer at Verde's. On Easter morning Ash hunted eggs around the house and we all attended DS Presbyterian with Preacher Nancy, Ash's favorite. I really enjoyed her sermon on the doors that we pass though in our lives and references to Temple Grandlin's experiences. Chris and I had just watched this movie and it was extremely touching. We continued the day with lunch at Nana & Papa's where Ryan was waiting and the Easter Bunny had visited for our 4 egg hunt of the season. Following lunch, the guys played golf and the ladies visited the wildflowers. We ended the day with visits from Bart & Francine. It was a wonderful holiday!
