June 2012

Dell Diamond Round Rock Baseball Game to promote my organization - Tillie, Ken, Kathy, Skylar, Kenzee, Mimi, Chris and Ash were sweet enough to join me
Every year, Miss A's birthday is our big kickoff to Summer! After her birthday party the weeks seem to fly by full of friend birthday parties, daily swimming and weekend pool parties, hot dry days and evenings rocking on the porch as it barely cools off.

All Gussied up for CoCo's fancy "BRAVE" limo movie birthday party with handsome Rivers

We had a reason to wear our beautiful flower girl dress twice!

Princess Merida's cousin joined us for the limo ride and singing fun!

Yummy Dinner of Grilled fish, Pasta, and corn cilantro made by my sweet hubby

This summer we added to the fun with two new kittens. The story goes a little like this - Chris goes to visit his friend Lewis in San Antonio and I had seen on facebook that they had found two kittens that they were trying to give away but did not think to tell my husband that this was not our task to rescue these kittens. I should have thought ahead and put the law down but my mind was elsewhere as I was getting a day to go shopping with Somer in Boerne. A day we both needed and were very excited about full of wine and gossip. On our drive home I get a call from Chris and he says he has been doing some great projects around the house including cleaning the utility room. So the red flag went up - "Chris, why are your cleaning the utility room?" "Well do you remember how I found those snakes out by the chickens, I have the perfect solution, two kittens. and I responded as only a sane wife would do ~ "The only way I will let you keep the cats is if you kill the chicken - I cannot handle one more pet to care for" - I thought Somer would wreck off the road laughing at me as she has seen Chris and I have these ridiculous conversations for 17 years now. So as it is, we inherited two kitties, Lizzy the Black Kitty and Millie the striped Kitty.

We enjoyed the two sweet kitties for a couple of weeks only to learn that Lewis' kids cat ran away while they were out of town and they really really missed the kittens they had rescued from their garage so Ash graciously gave Millie back to them. Well they quickly changed her name to Bubba because they have a dog named Millie and well - Millie turned out to be a boy. So since this time, we have fallen in love with sweet, curious Lizzy. Even Daisy and Bailey have grown to love her (chase her up a tree), Love her! She is much much easier to handle than dear Daisy.
