Miss A now has a pet Beta fish named Nemo. Chris wanted to get her a bird but my family does not have a good record with birds or hamsters. Jacque and Bailey are aging but we are not ready to replace them just yet. Our last Beta fish lived 5 years and 7 moves - I hope this one is as "Hardy"as the last one. Ash loves feeding him and talking to him about her day! Welcome to the Harmon family Mr. Nemo!

Fredericksburg, TX

I am not going to lie. I have a thing for white dresses. I am obsessed with taking Miss A's pic when she wears a white dress. She just looks so innocent. No they don't stay clean but they are just fabulous for my 20 minutes of picture taking.GG came to town and we had a fabulous time going to Fredericksburg and shopping and eating at my favorite Peach Tree Tea Room. We also visited the Wildseed Wildflower Farm which had another butterfly farm.
We always love when GG comes to town and never want her to leave!
Mother's Day

On Mother's Day we had a wonderful lunch at Nana's. I received a digital picture frame and I love it as no one loves constant pictures more than me!Ash will no longer smile for pictures. She will only make funny faces. It is just so special. She is quite proud of herself for it. Therefore we tickle her in all pictures. The last picture is her last picture being 2 - while wearing her daddy's oldest shoes.

9 Year Anniversary!
Can it really be 9 years? As many of you know Chris and I have known each other and been together for many more years than this but actually remembering that our wedding day was 9 years ago is simply amazing. So many things have changed in this amount of time ~ too many to list but lots to reflect on - births, deaths, weddings, divorces, moves, graduations, new careers. I am so lucky to be married to my best friend who makes me laugh harder than anyone in the world and who is the best father to our amazing daughter. Time flies and I look forward to many many more years experiencing the ups and downs of life together!

Wild Connections Butterfly Farm

Right down the street from our house, there is a little family owned Butterfly Farm. Ash loved being able to hold a butterfly on the piece of cantaloupe they provided. Chris on the other hand was highly allergic to the family cat and whatever plants were growing in the butterfly house and literally had an allergy attack so we had to leave. It is really pretty funny now because he was trying to be a sweet gentle daddy with his daughter and these butterflies as his throat is closing up and his eyes are watering down his face. Ash now believes that all butterflies will fly down and let her hold them - she chases them around our backyard demanding that they let her hold them. For $4 - pretty cute place

Happy Birthday Little Miss A!

I am perplexed about what to write. Ash turning 3 means so many things. All toys says age 3 and up. All theme parks, zoos, museums, shows charge a child's price at 3. How did this happen? How did time fly so fast. She is my little girl and not a baby anymore. That is her current favorite sentence "Remember when I was a baby Mommy and I couldn't do this ... (ex: climb on playscape at McDonalds, swim in the big pool, dress herself, etc)
Chris and I spent a long time just watching her sleep yesterday morning. She is growing so much and we just want to put her in a bubble and protect her and keep her this wonderful sweet way forever. We both agree that this is the hardest and most rewarding job that we have ever been given. It just amazes us that she says "I love you" out of the blue and gives the most wonderful kisses and hugs that we never imagined possible. She can make the worst, awful, horrible day seem beautiful and special. There is nothing like watching her with new experiences. Her brain is just churning 90 to nothing and what comes out of that mouth blows us away.
She is such a passionate child in so many ways and I love every bit of the drama and the love that comes out of her little body. She feels so deeply and cares so much. We couldn't be more proud of her creative soul and her ability to light up a room. How did God bless us with such an awe-inspiring child and give us such responsibility to make her a leader and someone he could be proud of?
We will do our best to continue to love her and lead her and pray everyday as he gives us guidance to raise her. Lord knows it takes faith to keep you sane during the temper tantrums!
Happy Birthday Miss Ash! You have given me such purpose and direction! I love being your mommy!
