Miss A's Christmas Program

Ashton's Christmas program at Dripping Springs Presbyterian Academy was last night. Well let's just say that I cried through the whole thing (so did Chris but he won't admit it). Before the program, we were not supposed to see Miss A so as we are sitting in the sanctuary, I spot her down the hall in her classroom. She kept looking at me. Then she tells her teacher Miss Shannon, "Go tell Mommy that 1st I have to sing and then she can come and get me". So, as all Miss A's servants do... Miss Shannon (trying not to laugh) walks down the hall and tells me that Ashton must sing before she can talk to us. We were just so in shock. We really really thought that she would have such stage fright and try to hide in a corner. Oh, no. She is in the preschool prep class and all they were supposed to sing was "Jesus loves me" and then go sit down and the 4 year old class would sing the rest of the songs. Well, Miss A stayed on stage for the entire performance. This is why in the videos she is only singing Jesus Loves Me and We wish you a Merry Christmas. She knows the latter song from us singing it at home. She was the only child under 4 on stage for the entire program. It was great! Every teacher in the school came to talk to us about it after the program calling her the "little star". It is such a great school and they are so good to her and she is learning so much. We are very blessed to find this program in it's inaugural year. Overall, Mimi, Nana, Papa, Chris and I couldn't have been more proud of how grown up and sweet our little drama queen looked on stage.

All the kids standing around her are in the 4 year old class. We don't know how she ended up in the middle of them
