4th of July Weekend

We had a wonderful 4th of July weekend. We spent Saturday shopping with Nana, Mimi and Francine at the Wimberley Market Days and dinner with the guys in Marble Falls. Sunday we enjoyed our neighborhood parade, swim party with DJ and ice cream and then Chris cooked out a yummy dinner of grilled fish and fresh veggies. Chris bought Miss A a few sparklers and other fireworks and she loved anything that wasn't too loud. It amazes me how professional the fireworks displays are in our neighborhood. People drop thousands of dollars and we reap the benefits of the entertainment. We went to Nutty Brown to see the "professional show" and we could see some from Zilker Park in Austin but the neighbors around us out did everyone once again. After being so adamant that the fireworks were way too loud - she begged to watch them again for over a week. It was really cool to teach Ash the true meaning of 4th of July this year. She loves to understand why we celebrate holidays and just soaks up all the facts and can regurgitate them back with amazing clarity of the concept - so exciting to watch! Thank you to our Military for all of their sacrifices!
