Zilker Summer Theater

Reason #422 that I love Austin summertime!

Cortney and I took the girls to the Zilker Park Summer Theater FREE production of Annie. I loved loved loved this movie as a child. It came out the year that I turned 4 and so with Ash now being 4 it was perfect timing. I was supposed to go and see the play of Annie that year as well but I had chicken pox and had to miss it. Now of course they have a vaccine and my daughter will not have to be bathed in oatmeal and have scars from itching - but I digress.

We started off the 100 degree evening with dinner at Baby A's and where the girls danced and entertained each other so Cort and I could catch up on our gossip. Then we drove over to Zilker to lay down our blankets and enjoy the hillside play. There were some really talented actors and great Amy's ice cream to keep everyone hydrated. The only downside for the girls was that it was a very long play and started after dark so we left at intermission but I am so glad that we went for the experience. I plan to rent the movie for Ash very soon.
