Lubbock in our Rearview Mirror

Though we have called the Hill Country our new home for the past 5 1/2 yeas and we love raising our little diva here and have loved spending Christmas at home the last 2 years, Lubbock will always be home for many reasons. Chris and I were both primarily raised in Lubbock and have many fond memories together as a young couple as well as many great memories with our family and friends there over the years.

So the day after Christmas, we loaded up for the 6.5 hour drive to Lubbock. We had to leave Daddy at home because he had to work and he was sad to see us go. This was the longest we have ever gone from being in the LBK and we were excited to see everyone and our old stomping grounds. Ash loves going to Lubbock because she loves seeing her G-Daddy, GG and many cousins (Evan and Bryson included as she believes we are related and we practically are)

Mary Alice and Lee were fantastic hosts in their new beautiful casa and we had a fantastic time running from playdate to playdate and seeing tons of family! We were also thrilled that there was still a tiny bit of snow on the ground making it feel more like Winter than it does at home. It was a great trip that went by too fast but as always we are excited for Spring where all our Lubbock loves will come and see us here in Drip!
